Highways officers have closed three out of four lanes after the incidents at Junction 10 northbound in Walsall and Junction 10a at the link road with the M54 near Essington.

Officials say there is approximately 10 miles of congestion on the approach, which is likely to add at least 30 minutes onto usual journey times.

Motorists are being urged to plan ahead before travelling.

West Midlands Police have confirmed the incident at junction 10 happened after a driver had a medical episode at the wheel.

More information to come when we get it.
