Firefighters battle Willenhall scrapyard blaze
Crews tackled a large scrapyard fire in Willenhall last night – with residents urged to keep windows and doors closed.
Firefighters were on the scene at Ashmore Lake Way Industrial Estate yesterday evening, with several crews on scene to prevent fire spreading to nearby buildings.
Plumes of smoke could be spotted high in the air from across Wolverhampton and Walsall – as firefighters battled to keep the flames back.
It is not yet known what started the blaze.
