Third protest arranged over Walsall community alarm cuts
A third protest has been arranged against a decision to cut funds for a community alarm service in Walsall.
Protestors will make their voices heard before a Walsall Council cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
The proposal to axe funding for the £1.29m service came about as the cash-strapped authority looks to balance the books due to budget pressures.
But the decision sparked a storm of protest from users, their families and opposition councillors.
A protest was held in October, again on January 8 and are planning to stress their concerns on Wednesday from 4pm - even though the issue is not on that meeting's agenda.
