The blaze at Fryers Road Civic Amenity site and Recycling Centre in Bloxwich broke out on Sunday.

Walsall Council have said it is 'likely' residents will see their bin collections disrupted and asked that people leave their bins out if they aren't collected as normal.

A statement from the council's clean and green team read: "Due to the fire at Fryers Road it is likely that residents will experience a disruption to their bin collection.

"This has come at one of our busiest times with most households having a change to their collection day.

"Whilst we understand this will be frustrating our teams are working hard to rectify the situation and find alternative places to tip our waste.

"Please leave your bin out for collection if we don't get to your street on the scheduled collection day."
