Manhunt goes on for Walsall gunman

Police are still searching for a gunman who shot a cyclist in the leg.

A 43-year-old man suffered wounds to his leg and was taken to hospital after being shot on Burrowes Street, Birchills, late on Sunday night.

Armed police and sniffer dogs swooped on the scene between Tibbits House and Green Lane Baptist Church shortly after 11pm to begin the search for the shooter who had ran off.

A West Midlands Police Spokesperson said: "Enquiries are still on-going but at the moment there is no update on the Burrowes Street shooting."

It is not believed the injuries suffered by the victim are life threatening.
