Casualty cut free from vehicle following M54 crash
All three emergency services responded to a crash on the M54 overnight.
At least one person was injured in the collision which took place on the eastbound motorway between Junction 3 and Junction 2 at around 10pm on Thursday.
Fire crews from Albrighton and Wellington had to cut one person free from a vehicle, before assisting paramedics in treating the casualty.
Police were also on the scene, but the fire service's involvement was declared over by around 11pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said in a statement: "We were called to reports of a car that had left the carriageway on the M54, between junctions 3 and 2, at 10.14pm.
"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene and on arrival discovered two male patients - One of whom was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
"The second man was assessed and discharged at the scene."
