Pupil at Stafford primary school tests positive for Covid-19
A 'small number' of pupils at a Staffordshire primary school are self-isolating after a student tested positive for Covid-19.
Berkswich Primary School, in Stafford, confirmed that a year five pupil tested positive for the virus on October 15.
A spokesman for the school said: "On October 15, a member of our school community tested positive for Covid-19.
"The school has worked closely with the Staffordshire Local Authority Outbreak Team, the Department for Education and Public Health England.
"Following their advice, the small number of children who were in close contact with the individual who tested positive for coronavirus are isolating at home for 14 days.
"They are engaging in online learning, so are not missing out on their education while they are at home."
