Crews tackle fire at industrial unit in Stafford

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a two-storey industrial unit in Stafford today.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the industrial premises off Brindley Close, Beaconside, shortly after 8am.

No one was injured in the fire.

A spokesman for the service said: "Crews from Eccleshall, Gnosall, Stafford and Longton have been dealing with a fire at an industrial premises at Beaconside in Stafford this morning.

"Firefighters were called to Brindley Close shortly after 8am with a two-storey industrial unit well alight.

"Crews used a main jet, two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze - which has since been extinguished. No one was hurt."
