Cyclist injured in hit-and-run between Stafford and Penkridge

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car which fled the scene in Staffordshire.

The 36-year-old cyclist was knocked off his bike on the A449, near to the roundabout for junction 13 of the M6, between Stafford and Penkridge at 7.30pm on Sunday.

The vehicle, described as grey or silver, left the scene after the collision.

The extent of the cyclist's injuries are not known.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw a grey or silver car in the area, is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 773 of June 14.
