The protest is set to take place at 3pm in Market Square.

On a poster for the protest it describes it as a "peaceful static protest against police brutality and racial injustice".

It also says social distancing rules will apply and face masks must be worn at all times.

It comes after a protest was held in Walsall town centre yesterday afternoon, and about 1,000 people attended the Black Lives Matter rally in Wolverhampton on June 7, on the same day as a protest in Dudley's Coronation Gardens.

People taking part in a Black Lives Matter demonstration which brought 4,000 people into Birmingham city centre were praised for staging a 'powerful protest'.
