Stafford building collapse leads to safety checks
A building has partially collapsed in Stafford prompting safety checks.
Firefighters were called to the crumbling building in Grey Friars at 6.44pm on Thursday.
No one was involved and it is expected to be demolished.
Images released show parts of the building which have crumbled.
Debris and bricks collapsed from the building which had been used recently as a storage area.
A spokeswoman from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to reports of a structure in a dangerous condition at around 6.44pm on May 24.
"No people were involved as the building was only used for storage.
"The surveyor advised no one to enter the building and demolition is being arranged. We left the scene at 8.25pm."
