Lordswood Architecture's new state-of-the-art premises and its new business Rohaus follow a £650,000 finance package from HSBC.

Lordswood specialises in curtain wall and façade work and its new sister retail brand, Rohaus, manufactures aluminium windows and doors.

The business has seen a 30 per cent increase in staff numbers and won £3 million worth of contracts this year.

In addition to moving into its new premises, Lordswood Architecture has been able to take on projects 75 per cent larger than previous projects. The HSBC loan supports the business in purchasing materials for each project, helping deliver large-scale contracts without impacting on the business’ cash flow.

Dee Benning, managing director at Lordswood Architecture, said: “Our business has seen exponential growth over the past year which has been made possible from our ability to offer an enhanced service at our new premises in Stafford.

"HSBC’s support has been crucial to our business strategy, providing expert financial guidance along with strategic funding – not only allowing us to secure our largest client project to date, but also giving us the momentum to create and launch our sister company, Rohaus.

“Our relationship manager, Stuart, has been the real key to the partnership we now have with HSBC. He took his time to understand our requirements and went away to put together a support package that suited our requirements.”

HSBC’s senior commercial manager, Stuart Smith, led the deal for Lordswood Architecture and continues to provide financial guidance as the company grows. His colleague, HSBC area director for business banking in the Black Country and Shropshire, Stephen Pear, added: “We’re delighted to have been able to support Lordswood Architecture in this next phase of growth and to partner with another British business which is manufacturing in the UK. We look forward to seeing what the next 12 months brings.”
