The wallaby, known as Holly, escaped from Wild Zoological Park in Bobbington on August 14 and has been on the loose ever since.

She is named after TV star Holly Willoughby who was today revealed as the new co-host for I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

The elusive animal, who bashed a hole in the fence and escaped through an open gate due to being frightened by children, is now roaming around the vineyard on the zoo’s property.

A spokesperson for the zoo said: “Holly is in our sights as we speak. We’ve managed to keep a visual on her for the past week thanks to those who have reported sightings.

“She’s been in the same spot grazing and keepers have been out on a daily and nightly basis to try and safely recover her, but she’s lightning fast and can cover the entire length of a field in a matter of seconds.

“She is, however, appearing very healthy and happily grazing on grass and various foliage.

"We do know where she is and we're confident to have her home very soon.

"We're letting her make her way back to us."

Wombourne and Kinver police officers had been conducting checks across the area since the sightings on the day the animal escaped.
