Appeal to trace driver as car flips onto roof in Gospel End crash
A woman was taken to hospital after a car landed on its roof in a crash.
Police are appealing to find the driver who left the scene of the two-car collision in south Staffordshire.
The red Vauxhall Corsa he was driving overturned, in Wodehouse Lane, Gospel End, between Wombourne and Sedgley.
His passenger, a woman, is in a stable condition after being taken to hospital following the smash.
Two occupants of the other car, a grey BMW, suffered only minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
Police are now appealing for the public’s help to find the man following the collision, which happened at about 1.45am today.
Murray McGregor, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.
“Two cars were involved in the collision and one vehicle landed on its roof.
"A female in her 20s, who was a front seat passenger, self-extricated from the vehicle.
"She was immobilised, given some pain relief and taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
“There were two other patients from the other vehicle – one with an arm injury and an other with breathing problems.
"Other people arrived at the scene and took them away.”

Meanwhile, the driver of an Audio saloon suffered minor injuries when the vehicle was involved in a collision in Walsall – landing on its side.
The incident in Barr Lakes Lane, close to Great Barr Golf Club, happened on Sunday afternoon at before 4.30pm.
