Woman trapped in car after crash with lorry in Great Heywood
A woman was seriously injured after her car crashed with a lorry between Stafford and Rugeley.
The crash happened in Tolldish Lane near to the A51 junction, in Great Haywood, at 8.50pm on Monday.
She was trapped in the wreckage and needed specialist treatment at the scene while fire crews worked to release her.
People in a passing St John Ambulance stopped to help.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said she suffered multiple serious injuries.
She was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further emergency treatment.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
