Woman, 89, taken to hospital after being hit by motorbike in Penkridge

An 89-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after being hit by a motorcycle in Penkridge today.

The incident, involving a red Yamaha motorcycle and a pedestrian, took place at about 1.50pm today on Wolverhampton Road, near to the petrol service station.

The elderly pedestrian was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for information.
