Three taken to hospital after horror smash near Cannock
Three people were taken to hospital following a horror smash on a main road near to the M6 at Cannock.
Two cars were left wrecked following the crash which shut the A460 Lodge Lane, next to the M6 Toll at Cheslyn Hay.
Fire crews cut off the roof off a Volkswagen as the Midland Air Ambulance touched down on the carriageway.
The other car was left resting against a grass verge and suffered extensive damage to its front end.
The busy route, which leads to the A5 island, was closed following the crash at 12.30pm as emergency services worked on the casualties and the wreckage was removed from the road.
