Cannock road to close for almost a month
A road in Cannock will be closed for almost a month while work to connect drains to a new housing development is carried out.
Old Hednesford Road will be closed in both directions from September 21 to October 16 while drains are connected to the Hawks Green Lane housing development.
A total of 44 homes – including 22 council homes – will be built on the Hawks Green depot site. Cannock Chase Council tweeted saying: "There will be a full road closure of Old Hednesford Road in Cannock from September 21 until October 16.
"This is to complete the main drain connections for the Hawks Green Lane housing development."
