Police were called to the Gailey, at the junction the A5 and Claygates Lane, at around 10.10am.

The cars were blocking the road for over an hour but no one was injured.

Andy Malone, a spokesman for Staffordshire Police, said: "We had a call at around 10.10am this morning to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision, which was blocking the A5 in Gailey, not far from the Gailey island, heading towards Telford.

"It is a busy road and one vehicle was off road, and the other two were blocking the main carriageway.

"We had all the vehicles recovered by 11.30am and the road was clear and reopened.

"There were no injuries to anyone involved and no one was taken to hospital. The drivers and passengers were checked over by paramedics at the scene."
