Hundreds of toys have been passed on to the sales centres at the homebuilder’s developments in the region and will be distributed to the Salvation Army and then on to local children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Salvationists Richard and Kathryn Reynolds, from Hednesford, picked up dozens of toys from The Limes’ Sales Centre in Cannock.

Salvation Army Captain Richard Reynolds said, “We were delighted to receive the many toys from Barratt Homes’ staff and residents, and we will ensure that they are passed on to those local children whose families are facing hardship this Christmas time. It’s a very generous gesture at this festive time of year, and should help bring happiness to a lot of local children.”

Graydon Worthing, sales director for Barratt Homes West Midlands, said, “We want to be a part of the communities in which we build our new homes, and it’s important to us to donate to local good causes, especially around Christmas time.

“We’ve asked our staff and our residents to donate toys to spread some joy to disadvantaged children this festive season, and we thank the Salvation Army for taking the time to collect and distribute them.”
