New Cannock dessert shop Heavenz Dessert's has been a roaring success so far

Run by husband and wife team, Cristian and Miriam Clayton, Heavenz Desserts specialises in unique milkshakes and treats.

It is a project that has been years in the making, with the pair travelling to dessert shops around the world in order to gather ideas before coming back home to start their journey.

So far it has been an 'unbelievable success' according to Cristian, 31, with more than 8,000 people liking the shops Facebook page.

Mr Clayton said: "It has been absolutely amazing, every single day since we opened, we have been getting the nicest compliments and so much custom.

"That makes us incredibly proud, we are doing all of this off our own back and we can't believe how popular we are already.

"I put it down to originality of our desserts, the planning we did beforehand and our customer service.

"People ask us if we are part of a chain or an American company, but this is just us."

The shop is open from 7:30am as a coffee shop and closes at 10pm, with music playing inside from the evenings.

Despite an ever increasing amount of dessert shops popping up around the country, Mr and Mrs Clayton believe they are onto something special.

Plans are already in place to expand the shop on Market Place to encompass next door.

Mr Clayton said: "We have seen every dessert shop that the country has to offer and so many from around the world.

"I still think ours has that something special.

"My wife is only 23 and she brings that bright, creative energy to the table.

"She really gives us an edge that others might not have.

"The sky is the limit, so far it has been an unbelievable success."
