Cannock Chase takes lead for dog visitors
Cannock Chase has been rated among the top country parks in the UK for dog friendliness.
The staycation report from money.co.uk gave the Chase's Milford Common, near Stafford, along with Whinlatter Forest Park, Keswick; Delamere Forest Park, Northwich; Windsor Great Park; Ferry Meadows Country Park, Peterborough and Rutland Water top marks for the best dog-friendly destinations and parks.
They all contain a number of trails to take dogs on, both on and off the road, as well as picnic areas and cafes.
Gower, West Glamorgan, Wales topped the list as the best destination for a socially distanced staycation, with Windsor Great Park rated best for social distancing.
