Summer Family Day to celebrate 30 years of Museum of Cannock Chase
Cannock Chase Museum is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a Summer Family Day.
The museum will hold the free annual event on August 4, which normally sees up to 1,000 people flock to Hednesford to join in.
Lisa Kemp, visitor services assistant, said: "It's an annual event where we do a summer family day and a Christmas family day, this year it's celebrating 30 years of the museum.
"It's going to be a big birthday party.
"We're going to have party games, lawn games, different stalls and Punch and Judy.
"Different charities will be there and it's free admission, but there will be certain charges for things like face painting and crafts.
"It's a whole day event, normally it's themed but this year it's a bit birthday party.
"It's one of the busiest days of the year. It's the school holidays, so normally we get 900 to 1,000 visitors."
Lisa added: "We opened in 1989 as a museum, before that it was a training centre.
"Since then we've just got bigger and better.
"We're now doing a lot more events and things for the family."
