Louis, who was named locally by a resident of the area, was the victim of a suspected murder at the house where he lived with his parents in Elm Road, Norton Canes, at around 3.25am on Christmas Day.

Emergency services personnel attended the address after receiving reports of a man in his 30s in cardiac arrest at the Elm Road address.

On arrival, paramedic teams found Mr Price seriously injured, and despite the best efforts of medical teams, he sadly died a short time after.

Staffordshire Police confirmed that one person, a 33-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, with the woman being questioned in police custody as of yesterday night.

The man's heartbroken parents, Graham and Eleanor Price, were given the tragic news whilst on a family vacation and have since returned to the UK.

One resident who lives near the address, who didn't want to be named, talked about their 'tight-knit community' and the shock of the tragic events.

The resident said: "We're all a bit shocked, to be honest, because it's not something you expect to happen on your own doorstep.

"I didn't know him too well, but I would see him in passing and we'd say hello and he and his family seemed like fairly normal and nice people.

"It's not a tight community around here and a lot of people keep themselves to themselves, but there is a feeling of shock from the people I've spoken to."

Tributes were beginning to be left at the scene

Another resident, who also didn't want to be named, said she remembered the father-of-one through her own children.

She said: "I've been here for six years and I've always found them to be a very quiet family who keep themselves to themselves, although I do know that the parents are regulars in one of the pubs around here.

"I just can't believe what has happened as it's just a shock and he seemed like a nice lad and had been around my own kids in the past as well."

Tributes of flowers have been left at the scene of the tragic incident, left by residents of the shocked community.
