Episodes were shot at the Wolseley Bridge hall, home to Hansons Auctioneers' country house saleroom on Monday – and people were invited to safely view what was happening on site.

Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons and a regular on the show, said: "It’s a fantastic treat for fans of the show. Bargain Hunt has filmed at Hansons’ salerooms in Derbyshire, London and Staffordshire before and it’s always hugely enjoyable for all concerned.

"Due to Covid-19 restrictions, numbers were limited to allow social distancing but thanks to Bishton’s ample gardens and airy marquee, where the auction was held, we were able to welcome people safely to a wonderful venue.

"Bargain Hunt filmed for the first time at Bishton this summer and the resulting episodes were recently aired on television. We’re delighted to welcome the film crew back once again.

"It’s always fascinating to watch a TV show being made. It’s a chance to see well-known antiques experts and witness the excitement on the faces of members of Bargain Hunt’s blue and red teams when their items go under the hammer.

"Plus, of course, you may see yourself on a future episode of the show."
