The National Trust site has organised a Festive Workout Walk on a specially designed course around the grounds of the preserved Georgian mansion.

Visitors can take a workout walk map and start the journey around the 900 acres of parkland in the Staffordshire countryside.

The walk will take in the sights around the estate and features 12 different fitness stops for people to try.

Each stop provides a different exercise activity for people to try, ranging from touching your toes to burpees and star jumps.

In addition, the estate has also provided an option for people who would prefer not to do exercises.

There will be several mental health stops around the estate as well, providing the option to try some yoga poses or practice breathing exercises.

Jenni Halsey, visitor experience manager at Shugborough, said: "We have run this event for the last couple of years from Boxing Day to the end of January. It is really popular and it gets people out and about after Christmas where they have spent a lot of time inside eating and drinking.

"There are 12 different stops featuring exercises from star jumps, Tai Chi moves and breathing exercises."

The Workout Walk has already seen more than 400 people come to Shugborough to see what the estate has to offer.

This includes buildings and follies on site such as the Chinese House, the Doric Temple, the Shepherd's Monument, the Tower of the Winds and the Arch of Hadrian.

The Workout Walk takes place every day until January 31, running from 10am to 4pm at Shugborough Estate, Milford, Great Haywood, Stafford.
