WATCH: Stolen caravan narrowly misses lorry during M6 police chase
A man who led police on a 40-mile chase while towing a stolen caravan has been jailed.
Steven Beeson, aged 40 and from Walsall, was pursued down the M6 as he towed the stolen caravan while driving a stolen car through Staffordshire last year.
He was picked up by police after failing to stop for officers on the A34, heading towards Trentham, on June 22.
And as he entered Junction 15 of the M6 at Stoke-on-Trent while being chased by police, a lorry had to swerve to avoid hitting the caravan.

Beeson continued to drive dangerously and sped through roadworks on the motorway.
The pick-up truck he was driving, a Mitsubishi, was also stolen and both that vehicle and the caravan were on false number plates.
Beeson, of Wednesbury Road, was eventually stopped at Hilton Park Services, near Junction 11 in Cannock.
He pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and theft of a caravan.
He was sentenced, at Stafford Crown Court on March 26, to 20 months in prison and disqualified from driving for three years, with a requirement of an extended test to re-qualify.
Pc Andrew Sigley, from the Central Motorway Police Group, said: "Beeson demonstrated some very dangerous driving and was lucky he did not cause a collision with another motorist.
"The excellent work by our pursuit team meant we were able to bring this reckless behaviour to a safe end."
