Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service named Emergency Service of the Year

The service was given the title at the Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards.

The awards were held in Westminster on Friday and aims to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the fire and emergency services in the last year.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted saying: "It's official! We've just been announced as Emergency Service of the Year at the Excellence in Fire and Emergency Awards, which are the Oscars of the emergency services! Congratulations to EVERYONE who contributes to the work of SFRS."
