Lottery winner finally claims £350,000 prize

A winning lottery ticket brought in Stafford worth £350,000 has finally been claimed.

The prize is the highest available on the Lotto HotPicks Pick 5 game and The National Lottery representatives last week issued a plea for people in the borough to recheck their tickets.

The main numbers were drawn on October 7 when the winning Lotto numbers were 15, 20, 30, 37, 47 and 51.

If no one had claimed it by April 5 2018 then the prize money plus the interest it had generated would have gone to help national Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said, “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

"It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money.

"We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
