Tennants Craft Bakery, based in Hednesfordand with shops all over Cannock Chase, shut suddenly in April last year after the Tennant family sold the company.

Carl, Debbie and Melissa Collins, who took over as owners, were ordered to pay £40,000 after an unemployment tribunal because of their treatment towards staff who claimed they were ‘kept in the dark’ and unfairly dismissed.

Now, Cannock Chase District Council has given the nod to a planning application which will see the bakery demolished and eight homes built on site.
