Young farmers Josh Barratt and Tom Wellings launched the event just four years ago and it has proved a huge success with the thousands of locals that turn out to see the convoy each year, and with the charities for whom they have raised tens of thousands each year.

Ahead of this year's festive tractor run on December 22, Josh and Tom took a trip to one of the charities they support and met with some children at the hospice in a tractor lent to them by Rea Valley Tractors.

“We cannot believe we are going into our 4th year of the Bridgnorth festive Charity tractor run! From what started as such a small event to one of the biggest festive events in Shropshire we can’t quite believe it," said Josh Barratt. "It was great meeting some of the children from the hospice so we can see where all this money really goes to and we also dropped off a few toy tractors for them to play with in the hospice. We look forward to seeing everyone on the day and along the route!”

Bridgnorth Festive Tractor Run takes leaves Bridgnorth livestock market at 5pm on December 22.
