Owner of Bridgnorth Cliff Railway wants 'financial certainty' with attraction finally set to reopen
The boss of Bridgnorth Cliff Railway says he is seeking "financial certainty" for the attraction's future, now that repairs are being finalised that could allow it to reopen.
Last week, Bridgnorth Town Council announced that scaffolding will be removed within days, after repairs to the damaged retaining wall that saw the attraction close before Christmas are set to be completed.
The cost to fix the wall has been estimated at £750,000, which could leave a black hole of around £500,000 in the town council's finances.
A meeting to discuss how Bridgnorth Town Council will pay for the repairs is set to take place on November 16.
