Puppy 'trapped in crate' in Shifnal – here's why there's no need to worry

A fire crew was scrambled from Telford to Shifnal following a report that a puppy was 'trapped in a crate'.

The crew was sent to Victoria Road at 10am on Saturday following a call that was classified as an animal rescue.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire & Rescue said : “At 10:00 on Saturday, 28 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as animal rescue in Shifnal.”

The crew found that one beagle puppy had its paw trapped in a crate and they helped the owner release the animal from its predicament.

The crew sent its stop message at 10:19am.
