Preparation under way for major renovation of iconic West Bromwich landmarks
Preparatory works for a major regeneration project which will see West Bromwich’s Town Hall and Central Library buildings restored internally and externally is well under way.
Scaffolding has been erected at both Grade II listed buildings to allow preliminary works, surveys and additional investigations to take place during the summer to determine the complete package of restoration works required.
Central Library will continue to remain open for the duration of the restoration works.
The significant restoration and renovation project is being made possible by funding from the Government’s Towns Fund programme.
Among the external improvements to be carried out will be a new fully accessible entrance from West Bromwich High Street.
