Car overturns in black ice crash at West Bromwich beauty spot
A car overturned in a crash along a Black Country beauty spot and another ended up in a hedge due to black ice on the road.
Thankfully no one suffered injuries in the crash on Forge Lane, West Bromwich, despite one car overturning.
West Midlands Fire Service revealed details of the crash on Twitter at 1.17pm on Christmas Day.
Photographs taken from the scene showed a grey hatchback overturned in a field and a red saloon embedded in a hedge.
The accident prompted fire fighters to issue a safety message for motorists.
West Bromwich Fire Station tweeted: "Blue watch attended road traffic collision on Forge Lane, West Bromwich caused by black ice. Thankfully no injuries. Please take care when if driving today #notjustfires #rtc #icyroads #TakeCare"
