Emergency crews called to two-car crash in West Bromwich

Emergency crews were sent to a crash involving a car and a taxi in West Bromwich.

The two-car crash happened on Newton Road at about 5.20pm today.

Two fire crews were at the scene and firefighters carried out precautionary checks on one person and made the vehicles safe.

The police were also in attendance.

No one was taken to hospital, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Fire Service.

West Bromwich Fire tweeted saying: "#RTC Newton Road #westbromwich attended with @PerryBarrFire please be careful on your commute, we want you all home safely."
