Man found injured outside West Bromwich house dies

A man has died in West Bromwich after suffering from a "medical emergency."

Police and paramedics were called to a property on Sandwell Road near the town centre just after 1pm yesterday.

The man was in a critical condition and was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

Police have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "A man was taken to hospital where he later died.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner."

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service added that two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care care were sent to a "medical emergency" at the house.

He was taken by paramedics to City Hospital Birmingham.

A neighbour who wished to stay anonymous said: “We hears shouting coming from the garden but we thought they were just outside drinking.

“We went out to the park and then my daughter rang me to say that there was police and ambulances all outside the house.”
