West Bromwich pub to close for £100k revamp
A pub will close for six weeks this month for a £100,000 revamp to take place.
The Wheatsheaf, located on West Bromwich High Street, will close its doors on June 17.
The work is being carried out by Holden's Brewery - which has its headquarters based in Woodsetton, Dudley - which own the site.
The firm took to Twitter to announce the news, tweeting: "Exciting news. The Wheatsheaf West Bromwich will be closing on the 17th June .Building team moving in on the 19th June for a total refurb."
It is a historic pub which has served the community for generations.
Bosses at the pub say it will reopen on August 4.
Holden's was first set up in 1915 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015.
The firm has pubs located across the four Black Country boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton alongside South Staffordshire and Ironbridge in Shropshire.
