Five men from Sandwell due in court after being charged with drug offences

Five men from Sandwell are due to appear in court today after being charged with a number of drug offences.

Hakeem Ali, Waqas Hussain, Asa Mcintosh and Bradley Whitmore, all from Wednesbury, and Quarnay Lee-Taylor from West Bromwich were arrested by County Lines Taskforce officers after a series of warrants were executed earlier this week.

West Midlands Police said the five men were remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today (January 24).

In a statement, police said: "Hakeem Ali, aged 23, Waqas Hussain, aged 24 and Asa Mcintosh, aged 19 all from Wednesbury have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply drugs.

"Quarnay Lee-Taylor, aged 23 from West Bromwich has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply drugs and possession with intent to supply drugs.

"Bradley Whatmore, aged 23 also from Wednesbury has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply drugs and two counts of possession with intent to supply drugs.

"All five men have been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court this morning (24 Jan).

"This comes after earlier this week, officers from our County Lines Taskforce executed a series of warrants in Wednesbury and West Bromwich."
