It was the second time in six years locals had to witness flooding on Leabrook Road in Wednesbury and its surrounding streets, as West Midlands Fire Service, South Staffs Water and West Midlands Police battled through the wet roads over the weekend when a burst main caused chaos in the area - leaving some locals to boil water before drinking it.

Thousands of homes were without water or faced discoloured water returning the following day, on Sunday, October 3, and more than 700 homes had their electricity cut for hours due to the response to the flooding.
