Police incident involving man on bridge closes Black Country road with buses and traffic diverted
A police incident closed a road in Wednesbury following concerns for a man on a bridge.
Hydes Road was shut off by officers but it has since reopened.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called following concerns for a man on a bridge on Hydes Road, Wednesbury, at around 12.25pm today."
"The man has since safely come down."
The National Express service number 47 was diverted in both directions via Witton Lane, Holloway Bank and Woden Road South.
Motorists were urged to allow more time for their journeys.
A National Express spokeswoman apologised for any inconvenience.
The incident was first reported at about 1pm on Saturday.
