Bungling thieves flee empty handed after snapping getaway car's key
Bungling thieves in Wednesbury failed in their bid to steal from B&Q and then were forced to abandon their vehicle after snapping the key in the lock.
After performing checks on the Ford Focus, West Midlands Police officers discovered the vehicle was stolen.
Wednesbury Town Police poked fun at the thieves who fled empty handed this afternoon from the giant DIY superstore on Axtletree Way.
The team tweeted: "PCSO's have attended an attempt theft from shop and stall at B&Q offenders abandoned their vehicle after snapping the key. Checks show the vehicle is an outstanding stolen vehicle #allinadayswork."
