Man due in court after series of thefts and robberies in Sandwell and Dudley

A man was due to appear in Walsall Magistrates Court today (January 29) after being accused of committing multiple thefts and robberies across Sandwell and Dudley.

Martin Rollason, of no fixed address, was arrested by West Midlands Police officers attending a report of a shop theft in Tipton on Monday afternoon (January 27).

Police said "the 38-year-old was brought into police custody where he was questioned on suspicion of other offences at One Stop stores in Dudley, Coseley, Tipton and Smethwick throughout January."

Following further enquiries, Rollason was charged with three counts of robbery, seven thefts from a shop and an offence of burglary.
