Smethwick restaurant which had 'problem with mice' and droppings allowed to reopen
A Sandwell restaurant which was forced to close after being found littered with mouse droppings has now reopened.
Ama Restaurant, on Cape Hill, Smethwick, was temporarily closed after health inspectors found mouse droppings, gaps which the mice entered through, and a large amount of grease in food preparation areas.
A report by a health inspector from Sandwell Council said there was a "presence of mice" at the premises which led to a zero hygiene rating and its temporary closure.
The inspection was conducted on September 11.
The report read: "There were large amounts of mouse droppings throughout the entire business.
"Businesses are to take all reasonable efforts to ensure there is no pest activity in a food business.
