Family demands answers after inquest finds broken bone contributed to death of 100-year-old grandmother
Family members of a beloved 100-year-old grandmother who died after her thigh bone had been broken in three places are demanding further information over her care.
Violet Williams family held protests outside Smethwick's Ash Lodge Care Home where they believe the centenarian's injuries were sustained.
The family said they could not understand how she sustained such injuries when she was totally dependent on others for her care. They have now launched a petition in their bid to find out more.
It comes after an inquest found she died of natural causes contributed by a fracture of an unknown cause.
Violet died on February 28 at another care home where she had been sent after receiving hospital treatment for her broken thigh bone.
