Smethwick road closed in both directions after woman falls from bridge
A road is closed both ways in Smethwick after a woman fell from a bridge and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The A457 Tollhouse Road remains closed both ways between Telford Way and Rolfe Street.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called following concerns for a woman on a bridge near High Street, Smethwick on Saturday morning.
"The woman fell from the bridge. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition."
The High Street remains closed at this time.
