Windows were damaged on vehicles at Rowley Regis train station.

Police have began scouring CCTV are now appealing for witnesses after the cars were damaged overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "An investigation has been launched after a number of reports cars were broken into on Rowley Regis train station car park."

Neighbourhood sergeant for Rowley Regis, Giles Dean, has urged car owners in the area to ensure valuables are not kept in the vehicles overnight.

He said: “I understand that incidents of this kind are frustrating and inconvenient, so I would urge residents to ensure that valuables are not left in vehicles overnight.

"Please take all laptops, mobile phones and tablets out of your vehicles when parking up, even a coat can attract the interest of an opportunist thief," he said.

“My team will be patrolling the area and looking out for insecure vehicles."
