Biker left fighting for his life after Oldbury crash

A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after being involved in a crash with a car in Oldbury.

The crash between the bike and a Mercedes E-Class happened on the A4034 next to the Arnold Clark garage at Whimsey Bridge at around 6.40pm on Sunday.

The motorcyclist, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening internal injuries, according to West Midlands Police.

The 29-year-old Mercedes driver was spoken to by police and was said to be helping with the investigation.

The collision happened within minutes of a crash in Birmingham which left a teenage boy dead.

The boy, 13, was hit by a car as he crossed Chester Road with his family.
