Motorcyclist injured in Oldbury crash

Members of the public rushed to provide first aid to a motorcyclist injured in a crash with a car in Oldbury.

It happened at the junction of Causeway Green Road and Wolverhampton Road at around 9.30pm on Saturday.

Members of the public were praised for rushing to help the injured motorcyclist by providing first aid before ambulance crews arrived at the scene.

The busy Wolverhampton Road was blocked following the incident as medics treated the motorcyclist. Debris also had to be cleared from the road.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: "We sent one appliance. One car and a motorcycle were in collision. We made the scene safe and the patient was left in the care of paramedics."
