Man released from hospital after Oldbury recycling plant blast
A man injured in a fatal explosion at a recycling plant has been discharged from hospital.
The blast happened at Innovative Environmental Solutions in Union Road, Oldbury on Monday.
One man who suffered serious burns later died in hospital.
Another man remains in hospital in a stable condition while the third, aged 32, has now been discharged.
Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
After the blast an IES spokesman said: "Following the completion of a maintenance task, three people were injured in an accident.
"We are deeply saddened to say that one team member died later in hospital from his injuries.
"This is an extremely upsetting time for everyone involved and we will do everything we can to support his family and his work colleagues."
An HSE spokesman said the organisation was working with emergency services.
